Tool & Die Welding
Microwelding Included
Rolland E. Buck Emmert, the company founder started in this area in the late 1940s. When he began Emmert Welding by the late 1950s and continuing into the 1960s, the company was on the forefront in this developing arena. Since that time, the companys expertise has continued to expand. Currently we process the gamut of materials: tool steels, mold aluminum alloy 7075, beryllium copper and Ampco alloys. Within the last several years, our ability to do microwelding has been extended to high power magnification with low-end energy reliability. We have developed the means to place discrete welds on highly thermal conductive materials, such as copper and aluminum alloys.
Over the years, the companys metallurgical knowledge has provided insight as new materials have come on the market and as the company deals with ones, new to us, for the first time.
The in-house metals lab adds to our capability by providing material identification and unique crack finding services targeted to the special tool and die issues.
